Dr. James M. Losito, is a Los Altos, CA native who graduated from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1985. He completed two years of residency at the Veterans Affairs Hospital and California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, CA.
Dr. Losito began teaching at Barry University in 1988 and currently holds the rank of Professor in the School of Podiatric Medicine. He serves as an attending podiatrist to the Barry University athletic program and the University of Miami athletic program. Dr. Losito is the team podiatrist for the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association and Inter Miami CF of Major League Soccer. He is a Past President of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine and the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. Dr. Losito is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
Dr. Losito is an attending podiatrist at the Barry University Foot and Ankle Institute at Mercy Hospital in Miami, FL. He has been published in many journals, including Podiatry Institute Update 2012, Athletic Footwear and Orthosis in Sports Medicine.
Dr. Losito enjoys basketball, cycling, running, swimming, and fencing.
